Ode to a Painting

Performance at Wolverhampton Museum and Art Gallery for DISORDER Live Art Festival

“Ode to a Painting calls into question the type of artwork we hang in local museums, such as Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the importance of showing this work in a space that is normally a child’s first exposure with art. This piece slanders so-called big names of Wester Art History, like Gainsborough and Reynolds, in an attempt to redefine an established art history.

This piece is part of an ongoing series, other works in the series include, ‘Ode to Gainsborough’ a material painting 2018 & ‘Ode to Grayson Perry’ a two-channel video work 2018.”
